A cup of coffee, and a smoke to start the day.
She turns a page in the paper and then she's aware
of the sleeping beauty, pale and still, lying on the floor
in the hallway.
So she grabs a piece of paper and a pen,
and she writes a note.

"I lost my way while looking backwards, dear.
I was blindfolded by myself,
and now there's nothing we can do
to end up where we belong.
We keep fighting the same fight time and time again.
How could this end?
There's a stream of poison in my veins,
